Social is all kinds of psychological and behavioral characteristics for individual members of a society to adapt to the social life. Social is gradually formed and perfected in man’s nature and on the basis of the social life practice. Children’s social development is the unity of the development of process and result. From the development perspective, there are many aspects of content, including complies with social rules, self-concept, attachment to family, peer relationship, etc. Seen from the result of the development, but also huge differences, there are rural-urban differences, gender difference, age difference, and school-age grade difference and so on. Such different results can be analyzed based on different subjects; In general, They are relationship with children’s experience, especially in early experiences. These experiences directly depend on the object of communication, including family, school, peer, mass media, etc.In the aspect of family education’s influence on children’s social development, this paper can be found in the literature are mostly around the role of family education in children’s social development, the relationship between selection of education content and children’s social development, parent-child relationship’s influence on children’s social development, the relationship between familystructure and children’s social development.In a normal family life, the parents, especially mother, take careof the daily life of children, and contact with children more thanother family members. Children’s social development has theintimate relationship with her mother. And mother’s professiondirectly or indirectly affects her education concepts, methods,content and purpose. Though the researchers has carried on thetheoretical analysis and empirical research on the influence ondifferent aspects of the development of children (cognitive, moral,ability, psychology, etc.) by professional. For better to investigatethe relationship between the mother career and the children’ssocial development, this study chooses an ordinary primary schoolof Lin fen. Selected from grade one and grade two, grade three,each grade stage2classes, a total of six classes as the researchobject. Using the3-9years old children social development scalecompiled by Chen Huichang who comes from the institute ofdevelopment psychology of Beijing normal university, Then carryingout cluster sampling survey for each shift students. Finally, UsingSPSS statistical software to analyze the collected data. The resultsare that there was no significant difference in terms of gender, age,grade of1-3grade elementary student’s social development, whenmother’s career as "professional and technical personnel" and"handle affairs personnel and concerned personnel", student’ssocial development level is higher than that whose mother works on"business, service personnel","farming, forestry, animal husbandry,fishery, water conservation, production personnel" and "others", there are significant differences. Specific results are as follows:1．1-3grade student’s social development level is more than“medium”.2．Overall in scale, men’s and women’s development isconsistent, but the girl’s score is slightly higher than boy’s. On the“abide by the rules of society”,“social cognition”,“no invasive”three factors, the development of girls is better than boys’.3．1-3grade student’s social development stalled, first grade,second grade, third grade students do not exist significantdifferences on the overall scale and various factors.4．On the “compassion and help”,“ego”,“honest and fair” threefactors, development of9years old group of children below6-8years old group,6-9years old children’s social development is goinginto reverse. Overall in scale,6-9years old children’s socialdevelopment stall.5．On the “abide by the rules of society” and “will”,“independence”,“social cognition”,“honest and fair” five factorsand social total factor, when mother’s career as "professional andtechnical personnel" and "handle affairs personnel and concernedpersonnel", student’s social development level is higher than thatwhose mother works on "business, service personnel","farming,forestry, animal husbandry, fishery, water conservation, productionpersonnel" and "others".
