Abstract


In the early1920s Chinese Educator tao xingzhi’s life education theory shocked educationcircles at that time which aroused the vigour on education reform. Mr Tao Xingzhi’s theory of"life education" is to emphasize the needs of the people as the starting point, the whole societyis a big school, every one in this school can enrich their material and apiritual life throughcreative work. In this school, everyone accepts education to make their morality, intelligenceand physique comprehensively developed and improved. What’s more,everyone wants to bebetter so they pay more attention to creative thinking,practical ability and the ability to adaptto social development, which consist with the point of view on mass education of MrTao’s.Since the life education movement started by Tao xingzhi had engaged for twelveyears,he made a further explanation that is education can be engaged in life.We can beeducated by our experience and meet the needs of the developments of life by education."Life education" theory has broken the traditional education that only value knowledge ratherthan moral education, sports and social practice, which is meaningful to our basic educationreform as well as Junior Chinese teaching. The current junior Chinese teaching only payattention to passing on knowledge,for example some teachers just read the textbook, it’s hardfor Chinese teaching to enrich students’ life. Combined with tao xingzhi’s theory of "lifeeducation", think about the current status of junior Chinese teaching, we should penetrate lifeinto Chinese teaching so that it can be closely connected with Chinese teaching,we shouldalso encourage students to participate in teaching activities actively, let Chinese teaching intolife, return to life, and make our language classroom full of the breath of life. This paperconsists of three parts: the first part mainly introduces tao xingzhi’s life education theory,including the theory’s main content, and basic characteristic; The second part point out theproblem that how teaching is separated from life, including the disadvantage of the currentChinese teaching pattern and how it comes into being.The third part is talking about theimplementation of the theory in Junior Chinese teaching.Tao xingzhi’s theory of "life education" of the current junior middle school Chineseteaching guiding significance lies in: the teachers concentrate on perfecting their teaching methods, and training students’ ability in life; While for students take an active part in Chineseteaching activities, not only for knowledge,but also for learning how to think and how to livein practice.
