Abstract

Cooperation and conflict are the most basic manifestations of countries relation in international politics. China and Europe are usually thought the source and traditional representative of eastern civilization and west civilization, they contradicted each other for a long time in modern history, no matter at the monopoly period, imperialistic period of capitalism still in the cold war period, east society and west society always can not accept and approve each other of social mode. However, after World WarⅡ,economic globalization had promoted the development of international integration gradually and deepened the trend of countries interdependence, the cooperation has became the essential idea of international society instead of the war little by little, countries more and more inclines to a cooperation. Nowadays world, great powers depend on each other in economy and request independence in politics, the economic exchange promotes the political cooperation in addition to economic cooperation, each still faces a series of global problems such as environmental protection、fights international policy of terror and controls spread of nuclear weapons together, they can not solve the problems by themselves, only keep a cooperation, they can carrying out the continuous development of economic and solving the global problems smoothly. Though China and EU are two kinds of different social modes, one is a developing socialist country, the other is a developed capitalist country, and they developed into a comprehensive strategic partnership nowadays. Therefore, it has important theoretical and practical significance for different social systems、different levels of economic development and different cultural backgrounds countries to study the development of China-EU relations.In this thesis, I study the relations of China and EU with a angle of cooperate and conflict respectively mainly by researching、contrasting and statistical analyzing, try to find out the existent form (cooperate or conflict) between China and EU and reasons for the existence, finally conclude that both China and EU can get a full development only through a cooperation, cooperation is the best way to realize their own interests, then I put forward reasonable proposals on expanding and deepening the cooperation between China and EU.There are four parts in this thesis except the preface and the conclusion. The preface mainly introduced the research background、current state and the purpose、process、methods of the study, it briefly describes the main ideas and the structure of this article.The first part in the text summarized the history of the China-EU relation, including the establishment of diplomatic relations、steady development、conflict and running、strategic turning、comprehensive development and a new period in the context of the world financial crisis between China and EU ,focused on the symbol events of each stage.The second part in the text study the relation of China-EU with the perspective of the conflict and cooperate, it introduced the concept and the features of international conflict and cooperate firstly, and then it summarized the main manifestations of conflict and cooperate between China and EU: the main manifestations of conflicts include arms sales to China、economic and trade frictions、human rights and Taiwan problems; the main manifestations of cooperate include EU adjusted the policy forward China constantly after the cold war, China and EU cooperated in more and more areas and the results were very significant, they all highly valued the cooperation with each other and the political conversation was further institutionalized, China-EU economic and trade relations continued to be improved.The third part in the text analyzed the main reasons for the conflict and cooperates of China-EU relations. In conflict, I analyzed mainly from the factors of economic, political and cultural aspects: On the economic front, they have different level of development and unequal status in the process of cooperation, and EU imposed trade protection policy because of the trade deficit, its internal double-layer structure had a dual function on China-EU economic and trade relationship; on the political front, the influence of World political pattern is the first reason, the influence of US is the secondly reason; thirdly, EU did not form an effective common foreign policy, on the culture front, China and EU have different ideology. In cooperate, I analyzed from the factors of economic, political and secure aspects: On the economic front, it mainly because of the trend of economic globalization and the complementarities of interests; on the political front, it mainly because the trends of international political multi-polarization; on the secure front, both China and EU Committed to creating a peaceful and secure international environment to promote their development. The forth part in the text viewed the international cooperation of Realism、Neo-liberalism、Constructivism and Marxism as Theoretical basis, summarized the national cooperation conditions and put forward reasonable proposals on expanding and deepening the cooperation between China and EU: Firstly, we may expand and deepen the basis of China-EU cooperation because there are no conflicts of fundamental interests; secondly, China and EU should maintain the high-level visits, consolidate and strengthen the multi-level conversation system, establish and improve dialogue in the disputed area; thirdly, they should increase exchanges, deepen understanding and improve the consistency of cognitive; finally, they should resolve the bilateral trade frictions properly on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, consolidate and deepen the cooperation in economic and trade areas, promote the rapid development of economic and trade relations.
