Abstract


The fundamental task of tertiary education institutions is to fostersocialist builders and successors with all-round development in morality,intelligence, physique and aesthetics. In recent years, however, suchextreme psychological crisis events as suicide and murdering of peers arenot uncommon among university students. These events, which are extremelyharmful and have negative influences, have aroused the attention of peoplefrom all walks of life. This study intends, through analyzing the factorscausing these extreme events and the ways of solving them from four aspects,namely, the society, the homes, the universities and the students themselves,to provide corresponding solutions and suggestions of similar events so asto help the university students develop harmoniously in mind and body andprovide useful lessons for their healthy growth, thus lowering the rates ofextreme psychological crisis events of university students.Based on the definitions of the terms and cases concerning extremepsychological crisis events, this study analyzes in detail the status quoand classifies the cases into five categories. It summarizes the featuresand laws of extreme psychological crisis events of university students.The factors causing these extreme cases are various and complex,including internal and external factors. This thesis approaches thesefactors from four perspectives, namely the society, the family, theuniversity and the individual person. These factors are interrelated andinfluencing each other; the first three factors are external factor and thelast one is internal factor. The external factors have their effects throughthe functioning of the internal factors.This thesis intends to offer preventive measures from the aspects of thesociety, the family, the university and the individual person while each has its own emphasis. The social preventive measures are fundamental, helpingthe students from all aspects and solving their family considerations andworries. The family preventive measures are of vital importance. The parentsand relatives should watch the students closely and pay special attention totheir feeling. Try to know the students’ mental development and lead themon the right way. The university assumes more responsibilities. It shouldemphasize education and precaution measures, caring for every student,especially those financially strapped students and low-scoring students.The preventive measures taken by the students themselves are key and to thepoint. They should train themselves, improve their anti frustration abilityand enhance their mental health, thus growing up through self-care. The foursides should strengthen communication to promote the healthy growth of thestudents and become talents with healthy mind and body.
