Abstract


the problem of aging of population had became focus for the society, the CHINA had became the country of aging of population in1999and the problem will be more and more serious with the developing of the economy and society. In CHINA, the standard of aging of population will be to17.17%in2020, and in2050it will be about30%based on some material. Natural or pathological decay makes the morphological structure and function of the olds change irreversibly with the growing of the age. the words "the roots are older than the tree, the legs are older than the person" mean that the physical strength and the control ability are bad because of the weakened lower limbs-strength. But I think it is because of the change of the ability of balance, not the change of the lower limbs strength simply by observing and thinking.The article researches the relation of lower limbs strength, ability of balance, physical self-esteem and physical exercise by methods of document, survey, intervention study and statistics in order to announce the characteristic of lower limbs strength, ability of balance of the olds and proof that the main factor is the change of ability of balance, not the lower of limbs strength simply, witch provides some materials for choosing the ways and sports event of exercise.Research conclusions:(1) limbs strength and ability of balance are lower and lower with the increasing of the age; sports groups and non-sports groups exist obvious difference on limbs strength and ability of balance except for the man and woman;(2) sports groups and non-sports groups exist obvious difference on physical self-esteem; the man and woman in65-69years exist obvious difference on physical self-esteem;(3) exercise more three times has positive influence on limbs strength, ability of balance and physical self-esteem; the frequency of exercise has extraordinary difference for over70of age;(4) the level of limbs strength, ability of balance and physical self-esteem is highest by exercising more than over one year; fixed number of years has positive influence on limbs strength, ability of balance and physical self-esteem but has no difference on limbs strength, ability of balance in over70of age;(5) the level of limbs strength, ability of balance and physical self-esteem is highest by exercising over one hour, the exercise of length of time has obvious difference on ability of balance but has no significance on limbs strength;(6) the limbs strength has high correlation with physical self-esteem and the ability of balance has low correlation, but the ability of balance has obvious difference for over70of age; the ability of balance has low correlation with the limbs strength;(7) the ability of balance and limbs strength affect physical exercise with the help of physical self-esteem, and act on physical exercise weakly and directly, and the function of limbs strength is better than the ability of balance. Though limbs strength plays the main part, decline of the ability of balance has negative difference on physical exercise and physical self-esteem. In order to form more positive, the olds should practice limbs strength and the ability of balance crosswisly.
