Abstract


VOD is a new interactive multimedia Audio and Video technology, satisfying users the needof participating independently and containing the content well. VOD fuses Internet broadcastingtechnology and television broadcasting technology, overturning traditional broadcastinginformation received passively, making video transmission initiative and optional in applying.Today, the rapid development of computer technology, Internet technology and multimediatechnology, VOD system has been used widely in education, commerce, entertainment and so on,greatly raising the quality of people’s life and working efficiency.The article is based on fully analyzing the VOD system, giving the whole design scheme,including the software of client and server, then the each module of the system was introduced indetail, mainly includes the data processing module, network communication module, the networkanomaly detection module, etc. In addition, emphasis on the solution of delay time when videoFile is big. Makes the system not only has good interpersonal interaction interface, but also hasperfect function, finally forming the corresponding program code and presenting a relativelyperfect VOD system. The design scheme of system bases on C/S model, uses visual C++6.0asdeveloping platform, MFC as development tool, deeply studies Socket network program, HTTP,ADO, database access technology, component technology and so on, combined with the abovetechnology, and refer to the actual needs of users about video on demand, developed a practicalVOD system.The article designs the VOD system in the degree of software, after completing thedevelopment of client and server software, test the whole system, the results show that the systemcan meet the multi-user concurrent access, and provides users with convenient real-timeon-demand service. The VOD system in article is simple operation, cheaper cost and betterperformance, and manage easily, users can operate it on computers relaxed.
