Abstract


The information which is ubiquitous in time and space is value to human’s life. In orderto obtain those real-time information the ubiquitous network of integrated measurement andcontrol is set up. This kind of network is an application of the Internet of things. Compare tothe traditional measurement and control systems such as remote sensing based on satellite,weather forecast system, all kinds of security system it has the following characteristics:wide-area, full coverage, low cost and general use etc. The ubiquitous network of integratedmeasurement and control breaks through the limitations of space and time for data sensing.And it will become more and more important in urban environmental monitoring, dangerousgoods monitoring, emergency control, natural environment monitoring, marine monitoring,infrastructure forecast and other areas for providing the characteristic data. It can make fullsupport for government management, investment decision and society security. The perfectionof the network, contribute to the overall social informationization. The thesis is based on sucha project which is an application of the ubiquitous network-the high speed railway trackmonitoring system.The paper first introduces the concept and architecture of the ubiquitous network ofintegrated measurement and control then use it in the high speed railway track monitoringsystem. The thesis analyses the project’s architecture thoroughly and fully understand therequirements of the system. Based on all the above the database was designed for the type oneand type three scheme. The monitoring system uses the SQL Server2008as the databasemanagement system and the design was realized on it. Finally the paper studies theoptimization methods in SQL Server and some methods were used for the system’soptimization. The results prove to be effective.The thesis focuses on the database design, optimization and management of themonitoring system which use wireless sensor network to collect data. The studies and work asfollowed:(1) study the ubiquitous network of integrated measurement and control’s architecture.(2) database principle and optimization methods study. (3) database design of the project.(4) database optimization and test of the system.The paper is a practice of the database design for the ubiquitous network. Hope it willprovide reference to the similar projects.
