Abstract


Beginning in 1999, China's higher education significantly expand enrollment, the number and scale of our colleges and universities are rapidly expanding, the connotation of higher education has changed greatly, pay more attention to the complex, and the cultivation of innovative talents, more focus on the improvement of the overall quality of students. School learning areas of life is no longer confined to the classroom, but extends to the entire campus. From the traditional classroom teacher instill mainly to develop students' self-learning ability and ability to innovate, to promote interaction between teachers and students interact and even interdisciplinary, cross-disciplinary interaction enlightenment, exercise teamwork spirit and ability. Therefore, the exchanges create the space in campus planning and design has been more and more attention. The meaning of the campus association space is very broad penetration in various fields from single buildings to the campus environment. Hosted by different types of communication space in the form of communicative activities are very different, select the campus a certain type of communication space in the targeted depth study becomes very necessary. In this paper, hot and humid, and rainy weather conditions in the South China region, select the gray space of the teaching building as an object of study, research around the exchanges between the activities of the man in the gray space analysis found that in the gray space requirements of the interaction of the physical environment, and to based combination of environmental psychology and environmental behavior theory, trying to come up the gray space conducive to promoting exchanges occurred processing techniques and improve the efficiency of the design principle of gray space exchanges. The different gray space reachability and accessibility for people exchanges in the gray space activities were observed, leading to exchanges between the crowd and the interaction mode in which there is a great difference.
