Abstract


"Document Integration" management is the groundwork of archival undertaking. It is also an important measure to carry on holistic unified management, meet users’ one-to-many information needs, and improve the efficiency of documentation. Analyzing the current status of China’s "Document Integration" and the causes of the difficulties in the advancement of practice, and at the same time taking appropriate measures is a top priority of the development of documentation.In the first place, the article discussed the connotation, the theoretical basis and the significance of "Document Integration". It analyzed the scientific meaning of "Document Integration", that is:using systems thinking, taking record management and archive management as a whole to co-ordinate and scientific planning.After that, the article analyzed the pros and cons of Jilin mode, Panzhihua mode, and the Integrated mode of Filing and File Management, and used "Guangdian Archival Information Resources Management System Stand-alone Version" as an example, listing out the functions of the system, and then summed up the obstacles to implementing "Document Integration". Finally, it developed systematic thinking, built a new organizational structure of document and file management from the perspectives of concept cultivation, institutional reform, legal protection, organizational construction and technique application, and explored a new pattern of "Document Integration" practice using modern network technology.
