With the rapid development of wireless network technology and its increasing popularity, ZigBee technology which with distinctive features of high speed,low power consumption and low cost has become an important research subject in the profession of sensor web and automation control now. In consideration of traditional monitoring schemes with obvious shortcomings such as complicated access process, higher cost in building and maintenance, insufficient performance in system scalability and mobile, this thesis proceeds extensive analysis and research on ZigBee technology, implements a series of experiment which used ZigBee application agreement program and combined with hardware and finally designs method in real-time monitoring system in high school lab based on ZigBee. This design can realize real-time reliable data transmission, meanwhile with good flexibility and expansibility, it can also remote the monitoring of the experimental environment in the lab effectively.The main content of the paper is as follows:(1) Review the development of wireless sensor network, especially related technology standards, norms, protocol stack structure, network topology and its application on ZigBee.(2) On the analysis of ZigBee protocol stack structure, the paper puts forward the frame of real-time monitoring system in colleges lab based on ZigBee, including overall scheme, database design, sensor data collection, the router nodes design, data real-time shows, historical data inquires, alarm function, network camera, etc.(3) The paper takes Shandong University of Finance and Economics for example, sets up actual monitoring network system and implements relevant test.The test shows that this system possesses distinctive advantages of convenient use,easy maintenance and extension.It not only can realize relevant data real-time browse, also can transmit all kinds of control command effectively.
