The small and medium-sized logistics enterprises can respond to market demand rapidly and improve the overall competitiveness of enterprise industry by.setting up dynamic alliance. To investigate the collaboration mechanism among the small and medium-sized logistics enterprises, the game theory is introduced to describe the interaction between these enterprises. Then a prototype system based on multi-agent simulation is developed to explore the evolution of interaction in the small and medium-sized logistics alliance. Thus, we investigate the collaboration mechanism among participants in the logistics industry, and how to improve the collaboration efficiency.In our paper, we utilize the game theory to explore the collaboration mechanism between logistics enterprises in the logistics industry. The traditional static game model is expanded to the dynamic game model. Taking the lifecycle of the logistics service with decreasing tendency into consideration, an evolutionary game model is built to study the dynamic interaction between the participants in logistics industry. Then we establish the simulation model based on multi-agent method by the software platform Anylogic. The existed study on the collaboration mechanism in the logistic alliance mainly is mainly based on the empirical study, which is unavailable to investigate the dynamic evolution of the logistic alliance. Multi-agent simulation-a bottom-up research method is introduced to develop the simulation system. And the interaction behavior between the individuals on a micro level is s explored to study the evolution of the logistic alliance on a macro level, and the dynamic evolution process of alliance synergies. By the combination of the game theory and the multi-agent simulation method, a simulation model is developed to study the collaboration mechanism in logistic industry. The simulation experiment is rerun for several times to investigate the synergistic effect between the participants in logistics industry.We explore the collaboration mechanism in logistics industry Firstly, we review the prior literature on synergistic effect between the participants in logistics industry or other industry. Then, we review the research approaches in prior literature on the logistics alliance. Secondly, we review the existed approach to study the collaboration mechanism among the participants in logistics industry. The research method and paradigm is proposed to explore the interaction between logistics enterprise in our study. Thirdly, we build a multi-agent simulation model to study the collaboration mechanism among the participants in logistics industry. The evolutionary game theory is introduced to express the interaction among the participants in the dynamic logistics alliance. Fourthly, a muti-agent model is developed by the simulation soft Anylogic. By performing the sensitivity analysis, the conclusion can be drawn that the enterprise strength, risk appetite, and other factors has an effect on the collaboration mechanism in logistics industry. Fifthly, we draw some management implications by analyzing the experiment data. However, the agent based model in our paper is not perfect and still need to be improved. Then the future study is expressed.
