Objective To explore the sleep apnea syndrome (sleep apnea syndrome, SAS) caused by chronic intermittent hypoxia (chronic intermittent hypoxia, CIH) of the renin - angiotensin system (renin angiotensin system, RAS) by impact and angiotensin the protective effect of the body-blockers (Angiotensin Receptors Blocker, ARB), to explore the possible mechanism of SAS on the cardiovascular system damage. 32 healthy male C57B6J mice were randomly divided into CIH group, the the ARB telmisartan intervention group, the the air analog control group and the control group, 12-week model test. Immunohistochemical method for detection of myocardial cells of mice angiotensin converting enzyme (angiotensin converting enzyme, ACE), angiotensin-converting enzyme (angiotensin converting by enzyme 2, ACE2), angiotensin II (angiotensin II, AngII) expression , and detects the blood pressure in mice. (1) mice systolic blood pressure: CIH group mice systolic blood pressure was significantly higher systolic blood pressure dropped, ARB after the intervention: the CIH group mice (113.8125 ± 11.59414mmHg) and air analog control group (99.6875 ± 8.31065mmHg) (P = 0.004), blank control group (104.6875 ± 5.713 mmHg) (P = 0.049), ARB intervention group (78.625 ± 8.90325 mmHg) (P = 0.000) differences were statistically significant. ARB intervention group and blank control group (P = 0.000), the air analog control group (P = 0.000), the CIH group (P = 0.000) differences were significant. The blank control group air analog control group (P = 0.27), the difference was not statistically significant. (2) mice diastolic blood pressure: ARB intervention group lower diastolic blood pressure than other groups. ARB intervention group (52.5 ± 10.78359 mmHg) and blank control group (71.1875 ± 7.17604 mmHg) (P = 0.000), air analog control group (66.5625 ± 6.64636 mmHg) (P = 0.003), CIH group (71.1875 ± 9.14931 mmHg) ( P = 0.000) were statistically significant difference. Blank control group with the air analog control group (P = 0.291) and the control group with the CIH group (P = 1.000), the air analog control group with CIH group (P = 0.291), the difference was not statistically significant. (3) cardiac ACE immunization were significantly higher: the heart of the CIH group ACE, ARB after the intervention decreased, but the difference was not statistically significant compared with the CIH. CIH mice (0.034900 ± 0.0129777) and air analog control group (0.005238 ± 0.0025928) (P = 0.000), the control group (0.004738 ± 0.0025618) (P = 0.000), ARB intervention group of mice (0.025100 ± 0.0061184) the air analog control group (P = 0.000), blank control group (P = 0.000) differences were statistically significant. CIH group and the ARB the intervention group (P = 0.161) difference was not statistically significant, the the air analog control group and blank control group (P = 0.798) with no significant difference. (4) cardiac ACE2 immunohistochemistry of: ARB intervention group ACE2 highest CIH followed by group. CIH mice (0.052200 ± 0.0191767) with air analog control group (0.029313 ± 0.0135514) (P = 0.008), blank control group (0.017488 ± 0.0131051) (P = 0.000), ARB intervention group (0.072850 ± 0.0175356) (P = 0.016), ARB intervention group mice the air analog control group (P = 0.000), blank control group (P = 0.000), CIH group (P = 0.016) were statistically significant difference. While the the air analog control group and blank control group (P = 0.152) with no significant difference. (5) cardiac AngII immune group: ARB intervention group AngII highest CIH followed by group. ARB intervention group (0.149025 ± 0.0216644) CIH group (0.095922 ± 0.0328323) (P = 0.004), air analog control group (0.020684 ± 0.0107095) (P = 0.000), blank control group (0.015019 ± 0.0069788) (P = 0.000) of the CIH mice with ARB intervention group (P = 0.004), air analog control group (P = 0.000), blank control group (P = 0.000) were statistically significant difference. While the the air analog control group and blank control group (P = 0.248) with no significant difference. Conclusion: (1) chronic intermittent hypoxia can cause elevated systolic blood pressure, the heart of local ACE2, ACE, of AngII expression increased. (2) using the ARB intervention, in the heart of local ACE2, AngII increased more significantly decreased blood pressure.
