Abstract

With the development of economy, wetland tourism has become a new tourism mode. As China’s wetland resources are rich and the available spaces are huge, the research and development of China’s wetland ecological tourism is of great significance. Hunan Changsha Yanghuyuan wetland is located in the experimental zone of the central part of the two-oriented society. With its unique landscape and great potential for economic development, it can not only effectively promote the economic development of Hunan, but also optimize the ecological environment of urban region. However, how to protect wetland environment and at the same time effectively develop and utilize the ecological resources, so as to achieve the sustainable development and benefits of wetland and social economic, has become an important problem that we can’t ignore. The establishment of wetland ecological park and the development of wetland eco-tourism is a concrete form to protect the wetland, and realize sustainable development.Based on the analysis of a large number of literatures, titled as "The Study of Eco-tourism Development of Changsha Yanghuyuan Wetland", this paper analyzes and studies the wetland eco-tourism development in Changsha city. What’s more, in this paper we have proposed an evaluation index system of city wetland with an empirical study, and at the same time we have done a detailed analysis of the current situation as well as the future development of wetlands in Changsha. This new understanding of the relationship between city and nature has a certain reference value and practical significance for guiding the construction of Changsha city wetland, leading to a harmonious development with the society. The main conclusions are as follows:1. This paper introduces the landscape ecology, sustainable development theory, eco-tourism sustainable development theory and welfare economic theory. Basing on the results of previous studies, we have analyzed the current protection and utilization status of the Changsha Yanghuyuan wetland resources as well as the wetland eco-tourism resources and also studied the sustainable development potential of it.2. This paper mainly uses the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method to establish the evaluation system of the sustainable development of Yanghuyuan wetland eco-tourism, providing an important basis for it. According to the evaluation results, we can make targeted improvements and regulations to provide a scientific basis for the sustainable development of the Yanghuyuan wetland eco-tourism. However, in the establishment of the index system, the set of relevant indicators are not perfect, many issues still need to be further explored. To minimize subjective errors and increase the objectivity and scientificalness, refinement of indicators and quantitative methods should be further explored.3. We mainly use analytic hierarchy process method to obtain the comprehensive importance of each evaluation indicator. The results show that, in the32indicators of measuring the sustainable development level of Yanghuyuan wetland eco-tourism, the unique of natural landscape is the most important which reaches10.8%, followed by the scenic air quality and the average education years, respectively reaches7.63%and6.65%. It indicates that in the construction of wetland ecological tourism, urban wetland tourism should first prepare the characteristics of natural landscape, and then should give full play to improve the air quality of the environment. The level of population quality in the social factors also has an important role on the development of wetland tourism.4. Changsha City has excellent condition and important significance for developing wetland ecotourism. It has rich natural wetland resources and unique cultural resources, as well as the superior location and good policy. Developing wetland eco-tourism is conducive to the maintenance of wetland resources and make full use of the wetland ecological resources. Moreover, it can give full play to the comprehensive benefit of the wetland, promoting the development of tourism and economic of Changsha City. However, there still are many problems remaining in the development process, such as the management of Yanghuyuan wetland ecotourism, the service level, the sustainable use of natural resources, the excavation of cultural connotation, the brand establishment and so on. Through the SWOT analysis of Changsha Yanghuyuan wetland eco-tourism, we propose a reversing strategic program to seize the external opportunities and make up for the internal weaknesses. In order to actively develop Yanghuyuan wetland ecotourism, we should make some efforts from aspects of strengthening the education, controlling pollution, improving the plans and raising the level of management.
