Abstract


China is now opening itself to the world, and the economy continues to growvery fast. Tourism becomes the industry which attracts people’s most attention. Morespecifically, the12th Five-Year Plan bring the best opportunity to China’s tourismindustry, due to the large intake of money for business with their goods and servicesalso the opportunity for employment in the service industries associated with tourism.However, the bad impact of tourism on the environment has mainly expresseditself in various ways. One way is the process of exploiting a new scenic spot. Thisprocess usually breaks the ecological balance of the area. Another way thedevelopment of tourism has damaged the environment occurs when tourists go toscenic spots. How to control and overcome the external uneconomic problem need tobe addressed as soon as possible.This paper based on the external theory as the research angle of view, as well asthe idea of sustainable development. I made the field research and questionnaireanalysis as the research object of Lijiang ancient city to show the influence of OldTown Lijiang tourism development on economy, society, culture and environment,including the positive and negative externalities problems by making survives. Thispaper discussed the origin of negative externalities on terms of three aspects: theunclear property, the imbalance of interests and the lack of the consciousness ofenvironmental protection. On this basis, in accordance with the requirements of theactual situation and the sustainable development of tourism of the ancient city ofLijiang, reasonable arrangements for property rights, the establishment of tourismstakeholder coordination mechanisms and tourism economy green accounting systemmeasures to explore the Old Town of Lijiang Tourism. This will be of greatimportance and necessity for the sustainable development of Old Town of Lijiangtourism.
