Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties volatile Zhongyuan situation , the control of the Central Plains of the Western Regions watered down , in this context , setting off a frenzy of competition for Western control over each nation in the Western regime , outside forces as well as the Central Plains regime . Different nations and different cultures have entered into the Western Regions . Resulting in the Western ethnic relations have undergone a rapid change , set the tone for the future of the ethnic composition and development in the Western Regions and the surrounding , also then followed by the Western Region of the development of political , economic and cultural exchanges have a strong influence . The Western Region of the few multi- ethnic and multi- religious multi-cultural coexistence region , ethnic relations research Wei , Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties Western has an irreplaceable role in the ethnic composition of the Western Region for the study of the ancient customs and cultural phenomenon , also has a certain practical significance.
