Abstract


Toni Morrison is the most prominent African-American writers. In postmodernism under the influence of her African-American history have been questioned . In her seventh novel, \This paper analyzes the fragmentation of narrative works , uncertainties and other artistic parody , deconstruction and reconstruction writers explore ideas . Through these subversive narrative , writers deconstruct a closed black community in the race and gender system, and called for the black community did not rebuild a utopian race and gender boundaries . The main part of the thesis consists of three parts . The first chapter discusses the fragmentation of narrative art . Morrison put Ruby ( a black township ) the history and reality into many pieces , and through montage and multi- person narrative approach and set up the fragments . In the course of juxtaposed fragments , writers narrator introduces different gender to male-centered narrative challenge , deconstruct patriarchal system . The second chapter analyzes the works of uncertain practices. Novel, writer blurred racial identity and character symbolic true meaning of things . These uncertainties writers inspire readers to fill the gap left for the reader involved in providing a wide range of space. Chapter III discusses parody practices. Writers Through Heaven and Eden parody , parody of Jesus Christ and racism against whites parody that expose Ruby community absurdity of racial and patriarchal . On these subversive postmodern narrative , exploring and history , race, gender issues are closely related , giving a unique work of art features and profound themes.
