Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of budesonide / formoterol in children with moderate asthma , especially small airway function . Methods in the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University Medical College asthma expert outpatient moderate asthma in children 40 cases in the past were not receiving regular treatment with inhaled corticosteroids , given Symbicort Turbuhaler ( budesonide / formoterol ) inhalation , specifications 80/4.5μg, each suction, twice a day , for 12 weeks. Respectively, in the four weeks of treatment , 8 weeks and 12 weeks after the follow-up , parallel level of asthma control ( control , portion control , not control ) assessment , and pulmonary function ( FEV1, PEF , FEF25 % , FEF50 % , FEF75 % ) , and observed adverse events . Pulmonary function test results at the same time the disease is estimated before and after treatment . Results (1) clinical control of the situation : Before treatment, 40 cases selected children with clinical control assessments are not controlled , the assessment before 12 weeks of treatment , complete control of 36 children (90% ) , part of the control children 4 cases ( 10%) , with a total effective rate was 100% ; (2) improvements in lung function : after 4 weeks of treatment , pulmonary function indicators ( including FEV1, PEF, FEF25%, FEF50%, FEF75%) were significantly improved , and 12 in the the week full follow-up process , these indicators have continued to improve . Lung function indicators after 12 weeks of treatment compared with before treatment significantly improved , especially FEF75%, FEF50% and FEF25 % , respectively, accounting for 80.26% of the predicted value , 81.89% and 80.48% , respectively , to normal lung function level . An increase of 34 % compared with before treatment , respectively , 29% and 29% , the difference was statistically significant ( P lt; 0.01 ) ; ( 3 ) adverse events occurred : the course of treatment , 40 cases of children with asthma only two cases of hoarseness one cases of dizziness , but the degree of light, no special treatment . Conclusion Symbicort Turbuhaler treatment of children with moderate asthma , to alleviate the clinical symptoms and improve lung function have good results , in particular, can effectively improve the function of the small airways of children with asthma to achieve asthma clinical control or partial control , adverse events low , good compliance , worthy of clinical application .
