Abstract

Earthworm eco-filter using modern ecological design concept, introduced earthworm species such as wastewater treatment reactor, the extension and expansion of the original microbial metabolic chain, by artificially strengthening the ecosystem enrichment and proliferation, synthesis and decomposition, antagonistic and synergistic variety of natural role in the sewage treatment process sludge reduction and stabilization, giving a biological treatment system with new features and functions. In this paper, physiological and ecological adaptability of earthworms in the domestication stage and under different conditions, ecological filter of high efficiency, low power operation optimization of technical parameters and reliable operation in accordance with: (1) earthworm eco-filter biofilm sludge has better palatability the earthworms grew faster in the biofilm sludge, individual, under laboratory conditions, average daily gain of the average range 0.0251-0.0391 times / d. (2) After a certain time of domestication, Eco-filter earthworms uniform distribution, abundance and biomass stabilized. Quartz sand and ceramic under various working conditions earthworm density and biomass per unit area in the range (0.42-1.75) × 10 4 / m 2 and (0.43-1.80) × 10 ~~ 4 / m ~ 2 , (0.67-3.70) kg / m ~ 2 and (0.86-4.99) kg / m to 2. Eco-filter earthworm physiological and ecological changes by the synergistic impact of multiple ecological factors such as temperature, precipitation, hydraulic loading, as well as filter microenvironment. During the test the temperature of the filter within the field value 6.5-32.0 ° C within the temperature range of earthworms ecological efficiency increases with increasing temperature. Hydraulic the load on haydite earthworms impact is greater than the quartz sand earthworms, hydraulic negative Heda 6.7m / m to 2 · d earthworm abundance and biomass can be reduced by about 1/3. (3) earthworms feeding, digestion, excretion, and other life activities are closely related to the sludge reduction and stabilization. Quartz sand and ceramic earthworms organic matter digestion range (1.41-5.26), respectively mgOM / g earthworms and (2.51-8.48) mgOM / g earthworms, vermicompost OM were in the range of 44.29-59.05% and 36.50-48.92%. Earthworms respiratory rate, protein, AKP and FP is closely related to the content and the C, N, P element cycle. The cow dung earthworms as reference, three environmental earthworms the AKP and FP content significantly different, the size of the order were: the ceramsite earthworms> quartz sand earthworms the cow dung earthworms, cow dung earthworms> haydite earthworms> quartz sand earthworms. When the hydraulic loading reached 6.0m / m to 2 · d digest the amount of protein and digestive enzyme content showed a clear downward trend. (4) earthworms through the coordinating role of SOD and CAT enzyme to resist external environmental stress, earthworms can survive under various working conditions. Compared with cow dung earthworm earthworm body wall tissue, Eco-filter structure will be a certain degree of damage. Ceramic filter earthworm body wall of the stratum corneum, the epidermis and circular muscle suffered damage extent than small quartz sand.
