Abstract


William Faulkner is the famous American novelist of the 20th century , the Family Theme novels major achievements of artistic creation . Thesis, three important families of William Faulkner's novel The Sound and the Fury \the reasons for the relationship . The paper consists of six parts . Introduction briefly introduce writers and three works , combing the status quo of research on this topic at home and abroad and made this research significance . Faulkner family novel , focusing on a single Ministry of works or a single type of family relationship , this article from a macro point of view , a systematic analysis of family relationships in three novels combine this theme with the Southern social background offering new perspectives for research Faulkner . The first chapter introduces the thesis of ethical literary criticism research methods . The method is aimed at to examine literary phenomenon ethical connotation in historical perspective , and combined with the prevailing political , economic, social and other factors , make an objective interpretation of the history of man and man, man and society , man and natural various ethical relationship and judgment. In addition , the chapter a brief review of the historical and social background of the American South . Chapter II Chapter is the main part of the paper , a detailed analysis of the relationship between the Compson , Sade and Ben Sandilands three families of parents with their children , and their children , and use of ethical literary criticism , weak mother-child relationship , parent-child conflict , brother and sister incest and fratricidal family tragedy to make objective interpretation . The conclusion : the disintegration of the post-war Southern plantation economy , Puritanism views on women , patriarchy , racism and serfdom main objective reasons lead to discordant family relations . The family is a microcosm of the social chaos of family relations also reflect the history of the South , social issues , indicates that the inevitable decline of the American South .
