In Northern Jiangsu Jiangsu Province economically underdeveloped areas , have to get rid of poverty, various cities and counties in northern Jiangsu investment , irrigation estuary waters with a good port and shipping conditions , some enterprises have settled in the irrigation estuary and upstream industrial park on both sides . Bring a greater impact on a large number of industrial enterprises have settled down to the irrigation Estuary water environment . Second Institute of Oceanography of the State Oceanic Administration in November 2005 and May 2006 , and May 2009 irrigation estuarine waters three voyages of marine environmental quality of monitoring . To the environmental quality of the monitoring data selected from inorganic nitrogen , active phosphate and chemical oxygen demand (COD) , three pollution factor analysis and evaluation of irrigation water pollution of estuarine waters , plane distribution characteristics of pollutants , pollution the property annual variation of the degree of eutrophication of water bodies , the measures put forward to improve the irrigation estuary water environment . The results show that the irrigation estuary seawater more serious water pollution , inorganic nitrogen pollution is particularly serious ; land-based sources of pollutants into the sea , inorganic nitrogen , active phosphate and chemical oxygen demand (COD) concentration showed a high concentration within the irrigation estuary , seaward gradually decreasing feature ; displays from 2005-2009 three cruises monitoring results , the pollutant concentration was decreasing year by year phenomenon ; level of irrigation estuaries eutrophication highly vulnerable to the risk of disasters such as red tide caused .
