Abstract

In recent years, the automotive level of package enterprise is improving more and more fast, and the enterprises turn out to be internetized, intellectualized and informationized. The suitable package is used to protect products from damage and promote them, so that whether the shelf life is predicted accurately has a great effect on consumer’s choice, the safety of products and the enterprise image in public’s heart. Consequently, the accurate prediction of products is all-important. The main predicting methods of shelf life are common test and accelerated test. The former is one kind of reliable method but it is inefficient, and the latter is efficient but it can’t satisfy automation the enterprises call for. Along with the development of computer technology, the package enterprises also want to use computer to help them to predict shelf life of products accurately and efficiently, but at present the research on shelf life of products at home and abroad mainly depend on the common test, and they don’t have a complete computer aided system to predict shelf life. So for adapt to the automatic producing, a software for tea enterprises to predict the shelf life of tea was developed. Firstly, some theory studies were done based on the moisture absorption curve of tea, the water penetrating rate of packaging materials, the K parameter, and the relative humidity on the tea package’s inside and outside. And then, the calculating formula of tea’s water content and the estimating formula of tea’s shelf life were worked out, and the accuracy of latter formula was tested by the present theory of shelf life. In addition, c++program was written, including establishing the database of packaging materials’ water penetrating rate and K value data, and then the shelf life of tea was worked out by the program. What’s more, the software can also be used to test the package quality, modify the package design of tea, and estimate the cost of package. After the test, the software was in good motion and feasible.
