Abstract


Low-voltage narrowband power line communication is becoming a hotspot in intelligent control and AMR field, for its wide distribution, flexible routing and low cost in operating and maintenance. However, the complexity of the environment restricts the application of low-voltage PLC.This paper resaerchs on the impedance unmatch problem, gives a methed of impedance match circuit designing. The cause of impedance unmatch problem is discussed from the electromagnetic wave theory. The impedance matching circuit topology and the corresponding components parameters formula are given directly , based on Smith chart theory. A power line impedance test method is designed, which is easliy to realize. Power line impedance mathematical model is given.This paper also analyze the impact of circuit components tolerance and power line impedance changes.Make full use of impedance unmatching, A trap used in powerline communication, is desigend. Using this trap can greatly reduce the impact of load access powerline.This paper designed a PLC module based on ST7538. Interface circuits, impedance matching circuit, filtering and protection circuits are designed. The method of match impedance target value and optimized match topology selection is given.A set of protocols used in PLC network, are designed based on OSI referernce model. The data structures and protocols’ flows are given.All the designs above are tested and the results are verified correctly.
