Abstract

The experiment was to determine the effects of previously fermented juice (PFJ), LaLsIL Dry (LD), enzyme(E) on ensiling characteristics and in vitro digestibility of erect milkvetch and Leymus chinensis silages. There were two methods for making PFJ that were ertract (PFJ1)and cut(PFJ2). The treatments were PFJ1 (0.2% FM)、PFJ1+E(0.2%+0.003% FM)、PFJ2 (0.2% FM)、PFJ2+E (0.2%+0.003% FM)、LD (0.001% FM)、E (0.003% FM) and LD+E (0.001%+0.003% FM) or untreated (CK). Fifteen laboratory silos were used for each treatments. Forages were allowed to ensile for 1,3,5,15, and 45 days separately. The resultes are as followed:Experiment 1:The erect milkvetch had low WSC content and high buffering capacity, so directly ensiling leads to bad fermentation quality. The treatments of PFJ1、PFJ1+E、PFJ2、PFJ2+E、LD and LD+E had lower pH, butyric acid content, NH3-N/TN, and NPN/TN than CK (P<0.05), higher lactic acid content, ture protein content, IVDMD and IVCPD than CK(P<0.05), It was concluded that the treatments are able to improve the fermentation quality and restrain proteolysis during ensiling which result in more ture protein were conserved at erect milkvetch silage. The treatment of E had no effect on pH, lactic acid, NDF, ADF, ADL and the in vitro digestibility comparing with CK(P>0.05), but higher butyric acid content and NH3-N/TN than CK(P<0.05). The treatment of E did not improve the fermentation quality. The treatments of PFJ1 and PFJ2 could improve the fermentation quality with similary result, so the PFJ2 could replace PFJ1 because the PFJ2 had a more simple preparation. The material had higher IVDMD and IVCPD than silage(P<0.05).Experiment 2:The Leymus chinensis has low WSC content and high DM, directly ensiling has low lactic acid content and high acetic acid content, so the ensiling type may be acetic acid fermentation. The treatments of PFJ1、PFJ1+E、PFJ2、PFJ2+E、LD and LD+E have lower pH, butyric acid content and NH3-N/TN than CK (P<0.05), have higher lactic acid content than CK (P<0.05).The treatments of PFJ2 has higher ture nitrogen than PFJ1(P<0.05), so the treatment PFJ2 could replace PFJ1 conserving more ture nitrogen. The treatment of E had no effect on pH, lactic acid, NH3-N/TN, NDF, ADF, ADL and the in vitro digestibility (P>0.05).The treatments LD and E+LD had lower NH3-N, NPN and higher ture nitrogen than CK(P<0.05), the treatments of LD had higher IVDMD, IVCPD than CK(P<0.05). The material has higher IVDMD and IVCPD than silage(P<0.05).
