With the improvement of living standards, application of shady plant are favored by the public. Garden Plant Landscape to create in the trees, shrubs, grass, to be the trend of the composite community is also tolerant plant material for higher requirements. The environments of stratified structure in the lower space system and indoor environment in a number of limiting factors, light deficiency is less than the main plant growth limithing factors. Therefore, it is very significant to research on the shade-tolerance of ornamental plants. Hemerocallis fulva var. florepleno is persistent root herb which belongs to the Liliaceae family. The leave and flowers have good-looking. It has bright colors, easy to cultivate and high ornamental value. But it was a few reported that about research on the shade-tolerance of Hemerocallis fulva var. florepleno. In this research, Hemerocallis fulva var. florepleno by Wu Tieming selelcted and plantd in Hunan agricultural university was used as the material. This auther discussed different shading effects on the plant morphology, leaf anatomical structure, phenophase and physiological character of Hemerocallis fulva var. florepleno, to analyze and compare the four main points of the characterof it. The results showed as follows:1. Different shading effects on the photosynthesis character of Hemerocallis fulva var. floreplenoAnalyzed the chlorophyll content, light response and diumal variation curve to discuss the photosynthesis character of Hemerocallis fulva var. florepleno, as the most important evidences. The results as follows:The weaker the light became, the more anthocyanin-content of Hemerocallis fulva var. florepleno leaves was. We can found that the light compensation points and the light saturation points of Hemerocallis fulva var. florepleno were different at 4 types of shading based on the light response and diumal variation curve. The light compensation points of treatmentsT2,T3 and T4 were about 20μmol/(m2.s),and no one surpassed 600μmol/(m2.s).The pure photosynthetic velocity were rapidly ascending with the increase of light-intensity in the range of 0~300μmol m-2s-1. 2. Different shading effects on leaf anatomical structure of Hemerocallis fulva var. floreplenoThe leave of Hemerocallis fulva var. florepleno were get thiner by shading. The number of chloroplast were increasd. The leaf structure of Hemerocallis fulva var. florepleno were changed by shading.3. Different shading effects on growth and development of Hemerocallis fulva var. floreplenoThe weaker the light became, the leave length, leave width, plant height and crown width of Hemerocallis fulva var. florepleno showed a trend of first increased then decresased. The flowing-traits of Hemerocallis fulva var. florepleno were serious influenced by shading. Only under the treatments of CK,T1,T2 can the Hemerocallis fulva var. florepleno bloom.80 days later, CK,T1,T2 grew well. But T3,T4 were lodging, and leaves turning yellow and dropping. The results show that T1 has best morphology and ornamental value.4. Different shading effects on physiological character of Hemerocallis fulva var. floreplenoThe weaker the light became, content of soluble sugar and protein of Hemerocallis fulva var. florepleno were decreased slowly. With the shading level lower, the moisture content of leave decreased significantly, specific leaf weight were incresed in a small range. And the activity of SOD enzyme and POD enzyme were decreased by the increased of light intensity. From this reserch,we can showed that moderate shading can make the Hemerocallis fulva var. florepleno growth better, and it can reduced the injured of membrane system and delay the aging of leave. We can have a drown that moderate shading have a important significance to prolonger the growth period of Hemerocallis fulva var. florepleno.
