Research on Cycle Slip Detection and Repair in GPS Carrier Phase Positioning

In the field of research in high-precision GPS positioning, cycle-slip detection and repair is always a very important area. Based on the conception and the causes of cycle-slip, this paper systematically analyzes several methods to detect and repair cycle-slip, Puts forward the method of using the phase reduce pseudo range law and ionosphere residual combinations to detect the cycle-slip on the two frequencies.This thesis describes several common cycle slip examination quantities and their structures in detail, systematically analyzes the theory of the dual frequency carrier phase difference method, high-order difference method and polynomial fitting and their mathematical models, based on the experimental given the effectiveness of these methods and scope of detection. Pseudo-range differential constraints solve the problem of more value issues on the dual frequency carrier phase difference method.As inter-satellite difference observation can effectively remove the impact of the receiver clock error. This paper combines the fitting results of single-difference observation and non-differential observation, and determines the satellite’s number which occurs cycle-slip and numerical value. The observations of different sampling frequency are processed to show that the detect capability of this method reduce with the decrease of sampling frequency. High-order difference method is suitable for single-frequency data to detect cycle-slip, it’s convenient and easy to understand, but it can not detect continuous cycle-slip. Finally, according to the pseudo-range residual method can detect more than 7 cycle-slips and ionosphere residual can detect and repair within 7 cycle-slips, this paper give a plan which combine two methods to work detection experiments, Accurate detection of the cycle-slip verify the reliability and practicality of combination between the two methods.
