Abstract


Minority students access to higher education is not only beneficial to minority children of disadvantaged families to achieve the enhancement of social status , promote intergenerational normal social mobility ; more conducive to promoting the economic construction of the ethnic minority areas . However , as the socio-economic development , the division of the occupational hierarchy , the expansion of the gap between the rich and the poor , the family background of minority students to accept the increasing influence of the higher education opportunities , hinder the development of higher education fair . In this paper, starting from an empirical point of view , by the six universities in Sichuan Province in the National Minority students' family background information survey , the study of family background and the relationship of minority students receiving higher education opportunities . Analysis of the family seat of the family income , parents' education level and the parents of the occupational hierarchy minority students \equity issues of minority students in higher education opportunities . Through study found that home location , family income , parental education and parental occupational hierarchy University of minority students \\Family are located in urban areas , the household economy with higher income , parents of minority students with higher levels of education , and parents of the occupational hierarchy easier to get the opportunity to enter university to accept a high-level of higher education \professional opportunity ; relative to the father , the mother's education accept different levels of higher education opportunities for minority students ; relative to the mother , the father of the occupational hierarchy of minority students to accept different levels of higher education opportunities The impact of higher . Concluded based on family background and ethnic minority students to higher education opportunities fairness proposed targeted policy recommendations , in order to promote equitable development of the higher education of minorities .
