Abstract


Although information resource sharing is a hot academic issue in theoretical research, the content is more or less limited to the practices and the technologic solutions, In recent years, more and more attentions have been concentrated on the research of information resource sharing model. The ongoing model is not the perfect one; still, there are many obstacles such as managerial system, idea of sharing, sharing technology and information rights, to overcome in the resource sharing practice of China. So it is necessary to outline the blueprint of information resource co-building and sharing ideal model. This dissertation, guided by the co-building and sharing theory and based on the analysis result of ongoing model, puts forward the document information resource co-building and sharing ideal model.The dissertation comprise of 5 chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the background, significance, content, method and creativity of the research. Chapter 2 gives an overview of the research and practice home and abroad of document information resource co-building and sharing model. Chapter 3 analyzes the typical document information resource co-building and sharing model home and abroad, including administrative-supported cooperative collection development model and library consortia, summarizes these projects’success and find out the problems that exist in the practice of China. Chapter 4 sets up the ideal model of management, co-building and sharing for the document information resource co-building and sharing, by the logical analysis of ultimate direction, constraints and profiles of document information resource co-building and sharing. Chapter 5 is the summary of this research, which analyzes the gap between the reality and ideality and points out the problems for further study.
