Abstract


The ideas and methods of mathematical morphology for medical image detection, medical image filtering and edge detection using mathematical morphology can improve noise immunity , and thus access to high - quality medical images at the same time get a better edge detail , improve medical diagnosis is important . The paper proposed a the morphological edge direction determination median filtering like new nonlinear filtering algorithm . This algorithm is the improvement of traditional median filtering , multi - structuring element to distinguish the image filled the presence of the edge , and thus the image edge details to be retained ; edge detection algorithm research based full use of morphological filtering orientation , multi-scale structure element of mathematical morphology image edge detection algorithm . Image noise and edge patterns , all-round , multi-scale morphological structuring elements defined and constructed by a weighted combination of morphological operations , all-round , multi-scale edge detection algorithm . Multiple sets of comparative experiments , designed for a variety of morphological algorithm first test basic morphological filtering operator based on the morphological edge discriminant improved median filter operator effectiveness in the processing of medical image filtering , and then test a single structural elements edge detection operator as well as the full range of multi-scale structure element morphology edge detection operator effectiveness in the processing of medical image edge detection , the surface of the experimental results , a series of improved algorithm based on mathematical morphology to extract the defects in medical image processing the details of the image , is consistent with the theoretical analysis . The new and effective ways to provide access to high - quality medical images can be promoted in the field of image processing applications .
