Abstract


In this paper,firstly, we reviewedthe efficiencyofthe bank’s domestic and international academic research and overviewed of the concept of banking efficiency and international research methods such as traditional cost analysis methods, parametric methods, and nonparametric methods. Then we build a random frontier(SFA),which was proposed by Coelli (1995years), usingmaximurn likelihoodestimation method. Weselected data aboutthreepolicy banks, four state-ownedbanks, and eleven joint-stock commercial banks in 2006-2009. Policy banks will be included in the study, which is based on China’s financial reform steps made in due course. Input variables:interest, net fixed assets, deposits; output variables:pre-tax profite; environment variable for the equity capital ratio, ownership, number of employees. We use these indicators to consider three types of 18 banks for the period 2006-2009 and status of operational efficiency inefficiency factors. Through empirical research, we found that the efficiency of China’ sstate-ownedbanks is followed by joint-stock banks, and that the policy banks have rhe worst efficiency. Namely Banks of China’s state-owned joint-stock reform has achieved remarkable results, making the efficiency of China’s large state-owned banking industry upgrade, which also benefited from theaccession to the WTO, the Chinese economy, the impact of the financial sector and the huge development challenges and opportunities.This paper describes the influence of factors on operating efficiency of China’s banks. We found that ownership, number of employees have a negative impact on both equity capital ratio have a positive impact. Finally, based on the research we proposed measures and suggestions to enhance the efficiency of China’s banking. China’s banks should be from a modern commercial banking system, optimizing the bank’s organizational structure, strengthening of human resource management innovation mechanism, the use of advanced banking processes, the implementation of banking services, outsourcing strategy for several aspects, and strive to build China’s banks become effective and efficient health modernization of leading international financial institutions
