The fifth plenary session of the 16th central committee of the communist party of China has already made the important decision of constructing the socialist new village, which is the important decision our party made by considering the overall situation, fixing attention on the long run, developing with times. In the plenary session our party forwards the total targets of the constructing socialist new village: production development, lenient life, the country civilization, clean and neat village, democracy management, which are embodied with the objective request of village’s developing completely under the new situation. But under the new village construction how to real extend the independent participation of form, stir up the aggressiveness and enthusiasm of constructing new village, make farmers regard reformation and construction as their own business, thus make new village construction strong and last long vitality-all these issues are still in active exploration. Therefore, in building new village the research on the function of farmer corps has much significance.This paper, from the perspective of Marxism, explores how to foster real subjectivity of farmers, promote the subjectivity of farmers, and realize their freedom and liberation. The research firstly expounds the formation, content, substance and realistic foundation of Marxist subjectivity and the basis and conditions for its complete realization. and ideological content. Secondly, from the angle of human subjectivity of new countryside construction in China, the subjectivity of the famers is analyzed in terms of Marx and Engels’theories, and then are illustrated the main farmers in China in the process of social development and their present status, characteristics. Lastly, this paper, based on the scientific development view and spirit of the third plenary session of the 17th session of the communist party, probes into the guiding significance of Marxist thoughts of subjectivity of farmers in the construction of new countryside.
