Abstract


At present, a new round of financial turmoil spread to the world broad, it is both an opportunity and a challenge for construction companies. However, in general, there are still some problems resolved incompletely: such as the production inefficiency, unsatisfactory quality construction, high construction cost, as well as the poor Occupational Safety. These problems are even more prominent in the urgent projects, which have many identified and complex factors. To change these situations, the construction enterprises as the main market are not only to improve the market environment, but also to explore and innovate to choose their own project management mode to enhance the management level.The core of Lean Thinking is to pursuit the elimination of all waste, including stock inventory. The application of Lean Thinking to the project management mode is very significant to improve the cost, progress and quality. It is very important to the large project management mode research.Firstly, this paper expounds the background of the choice on the issue and the status quo at home and abroad, introduces the basic theory of Lean Thinking systematically, discusses the advantages and disadvantages during various project management modes. Next, according to the five principle of lean thinking, it summed up that the essence is to use the lean thinking to manage the cost, progress, quality, and it compared the cost management, schedule management, quality management and safety management under the lean thinking. In the guidance of lean thinking, we should select the strengths to make up for their shorts. In accordance with the basic situation of project, we can choose for the proper portfolio project management modes. This paper introduced the PMC + Partnering mode, CM + EPC model. Finally, this paper used the fuzzy AHP. In order to select a appropriate project management mode, it created a decision making model based on the main factors of the previous modes which had an impact on projects choice——cost, schedule, quality, safety. At last, it exposited the paper’s content as well as the needs to improve, and have an outlook on the major project management prospect based on lean thinking.
