Objective: To study DNA repair gene the hOGG1 polymorphism with Xinjiang Kazakh, Han susceptibility to esophageal cancer relationship to explore the environmental risk factors for esophageal cancer. Methods: molecular epidemiological investigation of 132 cases Kazakh esophageal its control 309 cases, Han esophageal 107 cases and its control 204 cases; polymerase chain reaction - ligase detection reaction (PCR-LDR) analysis hOGG1 gene rs2072668 C / G locus, rs1801126 G / T locus genotype distribution and compare different genotypes and the risk of esophageal cancer in the relationship. Results: (1) in the Kazak population, rs2072668 locus CC, CG, GG genotype in the case and control groups in the frequency distribution of 25.21%, 51.26%, 23.53% and 28.51%, 47.79%, 23.69% distribution difference between the two groups no statistically significant (χ2 = 0.52, P = 0.77); the rs1801126 locus GG, GT genotype frequency distribution of the case and control groups were 96.61%, 3.39% and 98.39%, 1.61 % distribution difference between the two groups was statistically significant (χ2 = 1.19, P = 0.27); (2) in the Han population distribution frequency of rs2072668 locus CC, CG and GG genotypes in the case and control groups, respectively 17.00%, 52.00%, 31.00% and 16.30%, 44.02%, 39.67%, and distribution differences between the two groups was not statistically significant (χ2 = 2.23, P = 0.33); rs1801126 locus GG, GT genotype in the case group and distribution of frequency in the control group were 95.05%, 4.95% and 99.48%, 0.52%, the distribution difference between the two groups was statistically significant (χ 2 = 6.56, P = 0.01); carry GT genotype ontogeny esophageal cancer danger GG genotype 10.05-fold (95% CI: 1.16 to 87.25); (3) family history, smoking, alcohol, hi drink hot tea, drinking river water, well water, eat yogurt the pimple, milk tea, bacon, eating hot meals and eating speed faster Kazak esophageal cancer, environmental risk factors, adjust the population attributable risk were 28.14%, 28.49%, 33.22%, 71.84%, 56.81%, 52.83%, 39.82%, 69.13 %, 46.54%, 60.80%, 54.78%; Han population eat sauerkraut, bacon, eating hot meals to its environmental risk factors for esophageal cancer in its adjustment of population attributable risk were 43.97%, 59.71% 35.75%. Conclusion: hOGG1 gene polymorphism has nothing to do with Kazak esophageal of hOGG1 rs1801126 gene polymorphism Han esophageal cancer risk factors, Kazak and Han esophageal cancer incidence is influenced by many factors.
