Abstract

There is an old Chinese saying: for common people, nothing is more important than food. In 1978, the Chinese food & beverage market volume stayed at 5.4 billion RMB. Since then, it has been increasing by 20.5% year by year to 1.4 trillion RMB in 2009, and arguably to 7 trillion by the end of 2020 if it remains the same growth rate.Featuring the growth of food and beverage market is the burgeoning franchise and license business. However, the rampant expansion of this business has been always overshadowed by some problems and concerns. To run a food and beverage franchise in a stable and steady way, it is necessary to prevent such problems from happening in the very beginning.People can feel the profound history and culture of a place from its local snacks, such as Guangzhou’s White Carrot Stewed Cattle Organs. There was a saying that this snack makes part of the Guangdong culture, and that if you want to know Guangzhou,you’d better to try the White Carrot Stewed with Cattle Organs first.This Business Proposal starts with a general description of the company, and followed by its business operation model and staffing, which are based on a combination of the franchise experience and features of the white carrot snacks industry. Then, through the back ground of China’s food and beverage industry, this paper analyses the status and momentum of this market, looks into the industrial competition by applying 5-Forces model, lists out the company’s advantages, disadvantages as well as additional opportunities and challenges by applying SWOT tool, and concludes with a company strategy for market competition. In the finance perspective, the paper also makes an outlook of the future company’s finance report and investment returns, by applying ratio analysis and evaluation of investment benefit, including cash flow, investment benefit ratio, net present value, and period of additional investment. Finally, the paper makes a prediction of possible risks and corresponding solutions in running the company’s business..After a thorough and comprehensive analysis of all aspects as stated in this Proposal, we conclude that the project of Beef Offal Chain Shop has small business risks and high investment returns, and regard this project as feasible.
