Abstract


With the popularity of computers and the advent of the Internet, the increasing demand for information, the library business has been a strong impact, the traditional manual management methods can not meet the current information society. How to use existing scientific and technical conditions to improve the efficiency of information management books are our present issues to consider. Library information management system is a typical information management system, its development mainly includes front-end application design and database creation and maintenance of two ways. For the former, requires the application fully functional, easy to use; while for the latter, it requires that the database consistency, integrity, security, and so on. Study of this subject is to take field trips to investigate the city and the university library City Library library management system, combined with the large number of references. In the library information management system, because it involves more content, so in the initial database design will exist omission, for this problem is mainly to solve the problem by viewing the reference. Another problem is the relatively large number of local database implementations, such as programming, for that matter only through more practice some simple programming, and active use of libraries and network resources, more access to some of the relevant information, and more, teachers and students exchanges and discussions. In this paper, the system development tools and database development language Delphi7.0 MS SQL Server2000, SQL language principle of such knowledge, after thorough discussion, mainly on library information management system development background and development trends, requirements analysis, functional modules, database design, each functional module implementation methods and processes, and the development system user information and book information to add, delete, modify, query and other functions interface design and implementation elaborated. The system is able to meet the basic needs of library information management, to ensure the safety of library management. But the system there are many undesirable places, such as user interface design is not beautiful, systemic function arrangement is not reasonable. Statistical design of the system, only a single time statistics, all of which could be improved. Speaking from the system maintenance and operation, the system can not be upgraded online right function applies only to stand-alone operation. Library management system development is a delicate and complicated task, it requires the designer to have the ability to master plan, but also have the patience to do it a hundred times, in terms of design and you can not be sloppy. Library information management system development trend is from the stand-alone version to the network development, and gradually into the digital management.
