Abstract


With the development of higher education, in recent years, higher education accreditation as a quality assurance mechanisms of higher education has been paid attention by international organizations and governments widely in the last decade. Singapore has established three accreditation systems for the private higher education, which have guaranteed the educational quality of private higher education in a large extent.This thesis studied the certification of private higher education system in Singapore, which aims at providing a reference to perfect the private higher education accreditation and improving the quality assurance of private higher education system. This paper first analyzed the nature of private higher education in Singapore and the impetus and purpose to Singapore establish private higher education accreditation system, next introduced three private higher education in Singapore certified in a more detailed description, expounded certification organizations, certification purposes, certification costs, certification standards, certification procedures and the results of such certification; and analyzed the characteristic certifications for private higher education system in Singapore from various angles; and then this thesis showed general situation of the development of our private higher education and quality problems, the status quo of certification system, and did a simple comparison to our existing private higher education accreditation and certification of private higher education in Singapore, analyzed the necessity to complete certification system of private higher education,finally learned from Singapore’s experience in private higher education on improving our certification private higher education accreditation system and put forward some suggestions.
