Abstract

In the mid-1990s,digital trunking technology found its trend in the world on the basis of the TETRA system and iDEN system as the mainstream technology standard. However, with the development of technology innovations, in 2004 Europe Telecommunication Standards Institute (ETSI) brought forward a new digital trunking technology standard called Digital Mobile Radio System(DMR System). The paper made a closed study and analysis about call-controlling layer of the DMR communication protocol. Based on the per-to-per model, the project made simulations about the call-controlling of the DMR communication protocol and implements it, this is of important value for the implementation of DMR System. The new digital trunking technology—DMR telecommunication protocol was introduced in the first place. And secondly, the layer architecture of the DMR protocol and functions of all layers were presented. Then it analyzed controlling layer of the DMR communication protocol in detail based on the per-to-per model. The project simulated the controlling process of speech communication using VC++ tool, and implemented it in the MSP430 hardware conditions. Simulation and implementation results were also presented in the paper, it was proved that the protocol is available and easy-implemented. A summary was made in the end and of important reference value for the advanced applications in future.
