This paper focused on the elite teaching demand of‘Architectural Structure’, this thesis comprises design and development of web teaching system for this course. According to the teaching requirement of‘Architectural Structure’, as a teaching and studying platform for both students and teachers, a web educational system that based on internet and computer technology, by means of involving new methods to the traditional teaching process, is of beneficial to the teaching quality and communication convenience between teachers and students.This project is of great meaningful for promoting advanced vocational education to adapt current development of information technology, further teaching-reform, and enhancement of teaching quality in every aspects.Firstly, the teaching mode of‘Architectural Structure’is studied, as well as methods, conditions, goals and schedules and problems remain currently that relate to the course are analyzed. Based on the requirements analyze and main function of the web teaching system, UML analyzing and modeling are carried out from System user cases analyzing and modeling, to the modeling of activity diagrams, timing diagram, state diagram, deployment diagram, collaboration diagram of the system in a cascade manner.The B/S structure is selected, with respect to the requirements of web teaching system, for the design of this system. Based on the requirements analyze, system functional module, system class, and database are designed. At last, feasible techniques are selected for the system realization which includes user logon, online video playback, real-time communication and system file management.
