THz radiation , with its potentially broad application prospects , more and more people's attention. However, in a long time , due to lack of generation and detection of THz radiation effective means of human THz radiation is very limited. In recent years, with the rapid development of science and technology , the generation and detection of THz radiation has been booming . Dual-wavelength single-longitudinal- mode fiber laser in the THz generation technology has broad application prospects , it is very suitable to produce a continuous , coherent THz radiation . To this end, we have designed a tunable dual-wavelength single-longitudinal -mode fiber laser , and the corresponding theoretical analysis and experimental research . In this paper , the work mainly includes the following aspects : (1) an overview of commonly used at this stage of the generation of THz radiation , and their advantages and disadvantages are compared . (2 ) based on photonic mixer THz radiation generation and detection technology in a more detailed study , and a detailed analysis of the the autocorrelator indirect observation THz radiation principle , in the absence of high - speed photodetector , inspection whether the design of the laser can be used to generate the THz radiation to provide an effective method . (3) a saturable absorber - based tunable dual-wavelength single-longitudinal -mode fiber laser . And its key components of the single longitudinal mode optical passive ring cavity filter and erbium-doped fiber saturation absorber carried out a detailed analysis , then , we give a single longitudinal mode discrimination method . (4) dual-wavelength fiber laser based on the gain equalization mechanism simulation study . (5) the experimental study . Excellent tuning characteristics and proved through experiments we design a laser having a single longitudinal model , and, in the case of the absence of ultra - high-speed photodetector , by AUTOCORRELATOR , prove our design dual-wavelength single-longitudinal -mode fiber laser can generate tunable THz radiation, the the tuning range 0.1THz 2.125THz .
