In this paper, the theoretical model of Lucas (2002,2004,2007) extend between the countries to catch up with the model is applied to the study of rural labor to urban mobility , population movements , human capital accumulation and income distribution in order to explain the relationship and the actual data in the United States and China on the model test. The paper first describes the research background and significance of the issue of income distribution reveal the mechanisms of population from rural to urban migration , followed by the accumulation of human capital , thereby affecting the income distribution . Second in the literature review , especially in the review model ( 2004 ) , Lucas (2004,2007) model on the basis of their extended its 2007 national catch-up model is applied to its 2004 population from rural to Over time , the rural labor force gradually migrated to the city , and the accumulation of human capital , the urban labor income among urban mobility and urban labor force at the same time the accumulation of human capital in order to narrow the income gap model , derived by mathematical analysis methods the gap between the first expansion but ultimately reduced to the same theoretical basis . The article also modeled on the original model ( 2004 ) carried out a numerical test and make graphics . On this basis , the United States and China for the past 30 years the proportion of the rural labor force , by level of education , per capita GDP, the Gini coefficient data tracing point fitting and regression analysis of the empirical test , come to the United States in line with the model , the Chinese seem not conform to the model , but there is a lag reaction Gini coefficient of several variables mentioned earlier results . Finally, we come to a conclusion , and corresponding policy recommendations , including the further weakening of the household registration system, and create fair educational opportunities .
