Abstract

In order to cooperate with the research and development of textile atmospheric pressure plasma industrialization equipment and the successful development of its application technology, the pre-treatment process of cotton fabric by the atmospheric pressure plasma combining sort of pre-treatment process was studied in this paper. The optimal pre-treatment process of cotton fabric that was used by atmospheric pressure plasma with temperature and wet was established. In this paper, the pre-treatment process of cotton fabrics with different specifications by atmospheric pressure plasma industrial prototype was studied. The relationship of the atmospheric pressure plasma process parameters (pre-baking temperature, discharge power, discharge time, discharge components, etc.) with treatment effect on the cotton fabrics (capillary effect, breaking strength, weight loss, etc.) was explored. The rule of the capillary effect, breaking strength and weight loss rate of cotton fabrics and the atmospheric pressure plasma discharge power, discharge time and discharge components was found. The optimal process parameters of atmospheric pressure plasma pre-treatment for different cotton fabrics were determined, which can be a good accumulation for the following study. On the base of determining the best pre-treatment process parameters for cotton fabric with different specifications by the atmospheric pressure plasma, the atmospheric pressure plasma pre-treatment process combining a variety of pre-treatment process (such as alkali-oxygen one bath pre-processing, desizing, scouring, oxygen bleaching different bath pre-processing, bio-enzyme pre-treatment, ultrasound bio-enzyme pre-treatment, etc.) was used. The effect (capillary effect, desizing grade, etc.) of pre-treatment process parameters (type of scouring agent, sodium hydroxide dosage, scouring agent dosage, bath ratio, processing temperature, and processing time) of alkali-oxygen one bath process on the cotton fabric with different specifications was studied. The effect of process parameters (sodium hydroxide dosage, scouring agent dosage, desizing-scouring bath ratio, temperature and time, hydrogen peroxide dosage, dosage of sodium silicate, oxygen bleaching bath ratio, oxygen bleaching temperature, oxygen bleaching time) of atmospheric pressure plasma combining desizing - oxygen bleaching pre-treatment process on the treatment effects (capillary effect, desizing grade, whiteness, etc.) of cotton fabric with different specifications was studied. The effect of the parameters (enzyme dosage, processing temperature, and processing time) of atmospheric pressure plasma combining enzyme pre-treatment process on the treatment effect (capillary effect, desizing grade, etc.) of cotton fabric with different specifications was explored. The effect (capillary effect, desizing grade, etc.) of process parameters (ultrasonic power, processing temperature, and processing time) of atmospheric pressure plasma with ultrasonic enzyme pre-treatment on the cotton fabric with different specifications was explored. Finally, we determined the optimizing pre-treatment process parameters for sorts of atmosphere pressure plasma joint pre-treatment process, which make adequate preparation for the application of the atmospheric pressure plasma industrialization equipment in the textile pre-treatment field.Depending on the optimized pre-treatment process of the atmospheric pressure plasma with pre-treatment process, we cooperated with the dyeing and finishing enterprise, and then introduce the process to the related factories. Comparing the treatment effects of atmospheric pressure plasma joint pre-treatment process with traditional pre-treatment process, we found that the treatment effect of the joint pre-treatment process is equal or much better than that of the traditional one. After calculating the cost of the joint pre-treatment process, we found that the production cost of the atmospheric pressure plasma joint pre-treatment process isn’t increased, while saved the cost of the traditional pre-treatment.At the same time, the properties of cotton fabrics with different specifications treated by atmospheric pressure plasma pre-treatment were also studied in this paper. The apparent action effect of the atmospheric pressure plasma on the cotton fabric was observed by the Scanning Electronic Microscope (SEM) graph. There was a clear grooves and cracks on the fiber surface. The surface was become rough after treatment and the fabric surface of serous membrane were damaged, while the untreatment is smooth. The chemical structure of cotton fabric, which was treated by atmospheric pressure plasma, was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrogram (FT-IR), On the FT-IR spectrogram, the plasma treatment fabric and the untreated fabric were not changed too much, only a part of the peak was changed in or offset, the shape of some wave-peaks intensity was also changed, to indicate that part of the pulp and impurities were removed by atmospheric pressure plasma, but most of the pulp and impurities still left in the fabric, and it still need to go through with the wet processing. However, to treat by plasma processing, the adhesion was weakened with the pulp and impurities between the fabrics, the wet processing conditions can be moderate.Through studying the uniformity of the cotton fabric treated by the atmospheric pressure plasma, show that the atmospheric pressure plasma discharge uniformity was good.By studying the durability of treatment effect of the atmospheric pressure plasma, the results show that the extension of storage time with the fabric, capillary effect was reduced, but the capillary effect remained at 8cm/30min that was placed on 20 days after treatment by atmospheric pressure plasma, it illustrate this atmospheric pressure plasma treatment effects better durability. By studying the dyeing properties of cotton fabric treated by the atmospheric pressure plasma, we made a conclusion that this atmospheric pressure plasma treatment does not affect the performance of fabric dyeing.Based on the research in the laboratory, this technology will be used in printing and dyeing enterprises actual production finally. The research shows that combined a moderate atmospheric pressure plasma pre-treatment process with the traditional wet pre-treatment process compared to have obvious advantages; this can be used in actual production, the process can not only produce a certain economic benefits, but also to achieve energy saving, emission reduction, saving purpose. Therefore, the actual production of this study provides the necessary theoretical support and technical support.
