Concrete pump is one of the most commonly used construction machinery in modern society, the vibration characteristics of the pumping system, stability of structure and security of the stress distribution, directly affect the construction schedule. This paper studies a company truck boom system’s natural frequency, the stress of cement distribution pipeline and the dynamic response under different conditions.Firstly, we use Proe to create a geometrical modalof the boom system, then import it into MSC.Patran& Nastran and LS-DYNA for modal analysis and dynamic calculation.Two different software will calculate the modes and stress distribution under diffrenent conditions. In MSC software, MSC.Patran, as a pre-post tool, will simulate the joint with Multi-point constraint(MPC), anyway, it is a little different from the actual situation. In LS-DYNA, we consider the pin and the pin holes as a nonlinear contact problem, the reality is with a certain precision are among the pin and pin hole contact and friction involved. In order to verify the idea that the stiffness of the fixed pins can enhance and improve the structure’s natural frequency, we coupling nodes of the contacting surface. Meanwhile, the two different softwares will authentication each other to achieve the expected improvements.This paper will modal analysis the boom system under different conditions. Firstly considering the extreme condition that the boom system is horizontal, we do fully modal analysis and stress calculations and test the structure’s security and stability under extreme condition, at the same time, discover structural defects and improve them. Then we create a multi-angle geometric model and finite element model for modal analysis and found the unreasonable place of the structure, and improve it.
