Abstract


Real-time video transmission quality assurance is a big problem in the current best-effort network conditions , how the intelligent control video encoding to adapt to dynamically changing network conditions become a hot research topic . To address this issue , we propose a novel video coding control method based on reinforcement learning , the method showed a strong network adaptive characteristics , achieved good experimental results . Specific research work mainly includes the following aspects . In-depth study of real-time video encoding and transmission as well as the quality of the evaluation process , choose H.264 encoding format , RTP as the transport protocol , designed to create an ideal environment for optimal video transmission system ; then analyzed several typical network characteristics such as delay, jitter , and packet loss rate , using the NS2 to build a simulation network , and to study the impact of real-time video transmission , some simple and practical improvements for video terminals at the same time ; then the above reinforcement learning algorithm in the control of real-time video analysis , focusing on research , so as to realize a network adaptive real-time video transmission system , it uses the the RTCP feedback network information , and video complexity to estimate the current state , and smart regulation the output of the video encoding bit rate ; Finally the system in a variety of network conditions verified after a period of learning , the system showed a good network adaptive characteristics , good experimental results .
