Abstract

Firstly, by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) was studied in a completely aqueous solution polymerization of acrylamide. Study 2 - chloropropyl-amide (CPA) as initiator agent, cuprous chloride (CuCl) / 2,2 '- bipyridine (bpy) as the catalyst system, the acrylamide polymer prepared by the ATRP method. Different temperature and monomer concentration in the polymerization of monomer conversion and polymerization kinetics analysis. Secondly, the the ATRP prepared N-isopropyl acrylamide (NIPAM) of tert-butyl acrylate (TBA) copolymer hydrogel, which research and discussion of various factors on the the ATRP prepared P (NIPAM-co-TBA ) hydrogel polymerization reaction. Finally, the polymer structure of a certain analytical characterization using infrared spectroscopy analysis of the structure and composition of the polymer, the polymer has a number average molecular weight (Mn) and molecular weight distribution (PDI) measured by gel permeation chromatograph. Aqueous solution polymerization of acrylamide, different temperatures, different monomer concentration, different monomer to initiator ratio ([M]: [I]) and different catalyst and initiator ratio ([C] : [I]) polymerization. The study found that in the polymerization process, with increasing temperature, the polymerization rate has accelerated, but reduced controllability of the polymerization reaction; when increasing the concentration of the monomer in the reaction system, the polymerization rate increases, ln ([ M] 0 / [M]) ~~ T there is a good linear correlation; polymerization rate increases with increase in the amount of initiator, but increasing the amount of initiator, the reaction of the reduced controllability; study When [C]: [I] is 1:1, the controllability of the polymerization reaction is preferably. Kinetic analysis carried out by the polymerization reaction, the the reaction process complies with the basic characteristics of the active polymerization reaction, and the polymer molecular weight distribution is narrow (less than 1.5) and the deviation of the actual molecular weight and the theoretical molecular weight is smaller, and the polymerization reaction with a certain controllable sex. NIPAM monomer TBA as comonomers, CPA as initiator agent, N, N'-methylene-bis-acrylamide (MBA) as the crosslinking agent, using the ATRP method in water and dimethylformamide, (DMF) mixed solution was prepared having a homogeneous network structure P (NIPAM-co-TBA) hydrogel. The experiment also studied different monomer concentration, initiator dosage, the amount of crosslinking agent and comonomer composition of the hydrogel swelling ratio (SR) and volume phase transition temperature (VPTT), and polymerization process kinetic analysis. Found in a wide range, P (NIPAM-co-TBA) Hydrogels VPTT can be adjusted by the amount of comonomer tBA temperature-sensitive hydrogel prepared with the increase in the amount of tBA and swelling rate. P (NIPAM-co-TBA) compared to hydrogel synthesized by conventional radical polymerization, the use of a gel prepared by ATRP having a low VPTT fast swelling rate.
