Acute eczema is a caused by a variety of factors have significant leakage tendency to inflammation of the skin reaction , rash diversity , intense itching , easy to relapse, is a common disease of the dermatology disease . Western medicine with H1-receptor blockers and corticosteroids to treat , but easy to relapse after stopping hormone for external use long-term use can cause many side effects . The efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine, reduce side effects and improve efficacy and reduce the relapse rate . Objective: To investigate the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine, hot and humid type of eczema to of Dioscorea collettii Shenshi soup main square , and the West with antihistamines cetirizine argument of Dioscorea collettii Shenshi soup efficacy and safety of treatment of damp-heat eczema . Methods : This study used a quasi-randomized controlled method . All cases were from Taipei City Hospital, Zhongxiao Branch Dermatology and Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic . Results: We observed a total of 55 cases of damp-heat in eczema patients , the treatment group 30 cases , 7 cases ( 23% ) were cured , 18 cases (60% ) , 2 cases (7%) , ineffective in 3 cases (10% ), the total effective rate was 83.3 % . Control group 25 cases, 4 cases were cured (16%) , 14 cases (56% ) , effective in 4 cases (16%) , and 3 patients (12 %) , the total efficiency of 72% . Statistically, the two groups were no differences ( P gt ; 0.05 ) , and condition score before and after treatment was no difference ( p gt ; 0.05 ) the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine to treat eczema and western . However , after 4 weeks of treatment , the lesions performance before and after treatment , the degree of itching and recurrence rate compared to traditional Chinese medicine group were significantly better than the comparison group ( P lt ; 0.05 ) difference was statistically significant .
