Abstract


Severe competitions exist in different fields internationally in the 21st century, among which is the one for talents. As the top one competition, the quality of the talents plays an ultra important role. In the current teaching offered by universities, the aesthetic education, including the education of dancing, is gaining more and more attention in the quality education system.Dance education is one of the art educations with an organizational form and a teaching purpose, bearing a unique aesthetic view. With the implementation of dance education, the aesthetic ability, the imaginary ability and the creative ability of the students could be improved and the spiritual and physical power could be adjusted. Therefore, dance education plays a unique role for carrying out the aesthetic education, exerting a positive influence on improving the qualities of the cross-century university students.As far as the dance education is concerned, there are two modules in the world education system: one is the professional module starting from children, represented by China and former Soviet Union; the other is the universal module, represented by USA. In China, dance education has always been regarded as a kind of professional education to train high-level professional dancers. In America, however, dance course is a systematic required course from primary schools to universities. In China today, the two modules should be interactively combined, with the fortes extracted from both, to carry out the practical aesthetic education.The paper consists of four parts: the connotation and function of quality education, the current situation and pedagogical principle of dance education, the function of dance education in the quality education for university students and the strategies and measures for carrying out dance education for university students. By comparing the differences of carrying out dance education between China and other countries, with reference to the practice of carrying out dance education in a university, the writer investigates and analyzes the current situation and the pedagogical principle of the dance education in the universities in China, with a view to calling the review of the important role of the aesthetic education, particularly the dance education, in the quality education implemented for university students. A theoretical and scientific practicing system of dance education is also proposed in Chinese universities to meet the demand of training talents with high qualities.Starting from the dance quality education, with reference to the developing of dance education both home and abroad, the paper brings out the idea that dance education is not only a form of art education, but also an important method to cultivate a well-educated man. The positive function and practical guidance for carrying out dance education in the quality education for university students is particularly analyzed in the paper so as to put forward the strategies and measures of developing dance quality education. With university students as the teaching targets, the dance education should be both people and culture oriented to improve their ability of aesthetic appreciation, to bring up their fine personalities and to boost their creativities and imaginations.In conclusion, the author comes up with the idea of integrating the dance education in the current quality education system for university students to make the whole education system develop harmoniously and 6sustainably.
