Abstract


FS Fitzgerald ( 1896-1940 ) is one of the most important novelists of the twentieth century , occupies a very important place in American literature . FS Fitzgerald 's masterpiece \\FS Fitzgerald perfect art form to show the theme of the American Dream . Critics and scholars around the world to give high marks to the novel . In this paper, Frye as the main representative of the archetypal criticism to guide the interpretation of the figures, symbols and themes in the novel \Comprehensive study of the prototype can not only help us to understand the inner life of the characters in the novel , but also allows us a deeper understanding of the novel's plot and theme .
