Abstract

With the continuous improvement of the oil and energy crisis and emissions regulations , States are actively looking for alternative fuels , natural gas as a clean fuel , and its possession of rich reserves , is the first choice of the alternative fuel vehicle engines . Optional reasonable ignition advance angle , the air-fuel ratio and combustion chamber structure has a very important impact on the economy, power and emissions characteristics of natural gas engines . Through theoretical analysis , the means of numerical simulation and experimental study of the combination of a natural gas engine combustion process . First gas engine bench test , test include the total power of the test , as well as maximum torque conditions and standard conditions , change the ignition advance angle and the air-fuel ratio to be subjected to a performance test , the cylinder pressure indicator diagram , burning heat release rate and performance parameters such as ignition advance angle and the air-fuel ratio of the gas engine power, economy and emissions , and maximum torque conditions and standard conditions better ignition advance angle and the air-fuel ratio value . Boundary conditions and verify the basis of experimental data at the same time provide for the numerical simulation . Then the gas engine combustion process three-dimensional numerical simulation , the establishment of a simulated natural gas engine intake and exhaust flow , cylinder combustion dimensional dynamic grid engine cylinder flow and combustion analysis and simulation of different ignition advance angle and the air-fuel ratio when the engine cylinder combustion process , ignition advance angle and the air-fuel ratio cylinder combustion . Finally, the shape of the combustion chamber of the original machine optimized design , compared the impact of three different combustion chamber shape of the natural gas engine performance and emissions , and provide a reference for the further improvement of the natural gas engine performance optimization .
