Abstract


In the fall of 1976 , at the climax of the development stage of the black civil rights movement , the African-American writer Alec Hardy Lee published a family history of the novel \The book describes the more than six generations of ancestors Kangda Ginter the white slavers captives to North America when the slaves of the process as well as his history of the suffering of slavery in the United States and his sons . The \Followed by different scholars and critics , this book launched criticism and evaluation , appraise different . This article uses the theory of cultural identity , trying to illustrate the transmutation process and the reasons for black cultural identity through the analysis of different generations of blacks the Kangda Ginter family image , and find out the causes of the 20th century, African-American identity crisis . Until the mid - 20th century , African-American \Therefore , the study of cultural identity has become an important topic in the study of black literature of the 20th century . This paper argues that the root cause of African-American identity crisis is the lack of recognition of their own traditional culture is African-American . Therefore , wake up the African-American cultural identity awareness , stimulate recognition of their traditional culture become a solve identity crisis prerequisite . The \attitude.
