With the development of Internet, more and more IP terminals were introduced to the network, the traditional SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) LAN-based management, has become increasingly inadequate in managing a large number of terminal equipment, in order to solve these problems, DSL Forum has customized CPE WAN Management agreement (CWMP), provides the common framework and protocols for the next generation family Application Gateway to manage application. CWMP protocol not only a kind of agreement–it is to standardize the communication between user-side equipment (CPE) and auto-configuration server (ACS); but a framework-CPE configuration and management platform, which covered CPE security automatic configuration, and merged other CPE management function to a public framework. CWMP defines a new network architecture, provides the home network management, in next generation network, configuration of the general framework, the message specification, management methods and data model.The distributional system has the nimble architecture and is suitable for the distributional management and control agencies, satisfy for service diversification, apply to distributed management, require high handling ability and redundant reliable. The system will be based on distributed CPE WAN Management protocol implementation, making the specific configuration of the user side management and message to run with different detection systems, enhance the efficiency of packet forwarding and anomaly detection, saving the user cost. While addressing the traditional SNMP-based network management in the wide area network terminal management.It has been already worked in the operator after the CWMP system carriedout, reduce,in a large extent,the customer’s allocation and management,by deploy network management system based on the CWMP.
