Plasma antenna is a use of plasma as a conductor elements new antenna . Compared with traditional metal antenna , this antenna is the quality of light , low radar cross section , has a high value in the military field . In this paper, the numerical simulation method theoretically plasma antenna radiation and scattering properties , its main functions include: ( 1) introduce the basic principle of surface wave excitation plasma cylindrical plasma surface wave propagation theory as well as the physical characteristics of the plasma antenna , is derived and solved the dispersion equation for the plasma dielectric cylinder , which laid the foundation for the study of the plasma antenna theory . ( 2 ) establish a theoretical model of the plasma antenna elements , and using the method of moments are solved in different plasma parameters ( plasma density , plasma collision frequency) antenna electrical parameters ( radiation pattern , input impedance and radiation efficiency ) , the plasma parameters of the antenna radiation characteristics . ( 3 ) the establishment of a two-dimensional model of the cylindrical plasma antenna using FDTD method to calculate the radar cross section of the antenna , and combined with the calculation results to analyze the plasma parameters and external constraints cavity plasma antenna scattering characteristics impact. In the last chapter , a summary of the full text of the entire project Institute concluded , and the need for further research in the future direction .
